J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel has been selected as one of America's Best Funeral Homes. We pride ourselves as leaders in the funeral service profession and offer an unparalleled experience working with families from all walks of life. We pledge to be a resource for the entire community and accept the responsibilities entrusted to us with the greatest measure of integrity, compassion & respect.
Every family to whom we proved a funeral service or memorial service will receive a personally designed memorial candle, the prayer cards of their choosing, a beautiful video tribute utilizing photographs and videos provided by the family, a tribute blanket custom designed by our staff with a photograph of your loved one featuring highlights of their interests and hobbies, a framed canvas portrait of their loved one, a professionally designed personal register book, containing not only the obituary and service details, but also the photos utilized in making their DVD Video Tribute, an online memorial that will can continue to grow as you add photos and memories, and, if there is a burial, a free temporary grave marker featuring a photo of your loved one.
For deceased Veterans, we offer a FREE metal casket when a traditional funeral or full service cremation is selected. We are also the only funeral home in Lower Bucks County that is a member of the Veterans and Family Memorial Providers Network.
We will create a customized, online memorial for you to share with family and friends. The memorial includes the obituary and any photographs you wish to provide. It will serve as a place for visitors to post condolences, share memories, upload photos, and light candles in honor of your loved one. The video tribute that we will create for you will also be viewable on your loved one's website. This video will provide comfort, not only to those at the services, but those who cannot be present at the actual services.
We will produce a personal tribute video that can be played at the service and online. Simply provide us with the photographs and videos you want to include and we will transform them into a video celebration of your treasured memories. DVDs or digital files of the video are also available to those who wish to have them. Two DVD's are given to each family in personally designed DVD cases.
Funeral Fund Donations
We realize the expense of a funeral can be a burden. We provide the option for friends and family to make monetary donations to help cover funeral costs. These gifts can be made easily and securely online through our website, and are paid directly to the funeral home on behalf of the donor. This is not done without the expressed consent and wishes of the family members responsible for the funeral services.
We make it easy for friends and family to send flowers to your home or service to honor your loved one. We have partnered with local florists to offer the convenience of ordering directly from the obituary page of our website. You can also use this feature to select the flowers you would like at the service. This is a secure way to choose beautiful arrangements from the privacy and comfort of your home.
Sharing Service Details
We reduce the stress of contacting those who need the details of the service for your loved one. We post the dates and times of the service as part of the online memorial on our website. You can then either share the memorial on your Facebook or Twitter page or copy the details from the site into an email or text. Both options give you the peace of mind that you have provided the necessary information to those who need it.
Daily Grief Support Emails
We offer one year of free daily grief support emails to the families we serve. It is important to us that we continue to comfort our families through the difficult days that the first year of grieving can bring.
Despite the impact of the current coronavirus crisis and the profound disruption it has caused to our daily lives, please know that our Funeral Home remains committed to helping families, relatives and friends say farewell to their loved ones as meaningfully as possible. To that end, this facility has taken the following steps to balance the needs of mourners and guests with the recommended precautions communicated to us by the CDC and the National Funeral Directors Association:
We routinely perform environmental cleaning/sanitizing throughout our facility, such as countertops, doorknobs, bathrooms, tabletops, chairs, pews, and all other frequently touched surfaces.
We provide CDC-recommended hand sanitizers (≥60% alcohol content) throughout this facility if handwashing is not an option.
We provide disposable tissues throughout our facility so guests can cover sneezes and coughs, as well as a greater number of trash receptacles to immediately dispose of used tissues.
We discourage our staff from using other’s work tools, such as phones, desks, offices or other equipment, whenever possible.
We ask staff to follow social-distancing guidelines and to stay home if feeling sick.
Please note: Funerals with public viewings with more that 10 people will be delayed a minimum of two weeks from March 23rd. This may be extended.
If you are requesting direct cremation, we ask that you delay the memorial service until the crisis has passed.
We hope you do not need our services, but we are on call 24/7 and are ready to assist your family in their time of need. If you have an immediate need, please call us now at 215-295-7725
God Bless Us All!
