The J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel is encompassed by beautifully bright landscaped lawns and gardens. Our spacious facility offers an inviting and warm setting for loved ones to honor and celebrate a beloved relative or friend. Furnished with elegant decor, our facility has a large chapel with pews, a beautiful arrangement room, a gorgeous living room, and a private lounge sitting room. There is plenty of parking available at our funeral home, allowing us to place up to 80 vehicles in a funeral procession, and it is accessible for the disabled. Allow us to accommodate you and your guests, and let us know of any further accommodations you're in need of.
In addition, we have three large screen monitors to view DVD tributes to the deceased. We also broadcast services to all rooms within our facility in the event of a large crowd.
The living room areas are open and available to you and your guests during visitation hours as well as during funeral services. Furnished beautifully, this is a relaxing place to relax if you find you need some time to yourself.
One of our three large monitor screens are in this room. You can view DVD tributes to the deceased in the comforts of this room.
Our Wicker Room is an excellent place to relax and reflect in privacy. You can view funeral services on our state of art HDTV from this comforting location.
You'll find our funeral home arrangement office to be inviting and comforting. We want you to be comfortable and at ease while you're making arrangements, as if you're in your own living room. We use state of the art technology and equipment to explain your free website, caskets, vaults, and cremation urns.
A fountain of reflection is located outside the rear entrance of the funeral home. Please feel free to enjoy the beautifully arranged floral arrangements. Relax to the sounds of the trickling water running from the fountain.
Many families find comfort under the beautiful multi-colored blooms of our 100-year-old Magnolia Tree.
Please feel free to visit our funeral home facility anytime.
Despite the impact of the current coronavirus crisis and the profound disruption it has caused to our daily lives, please know that our Funeral Home remains committed to helping families, relatives and friends say farewell to their loved ones as meaningfully as possible. To that end, this facility has taken the following steps to balance the needs of mourners and guests with the recommended precautions communicated to us by the CDC and the National Funeral Directors Association:
We routinely perform environmental cleaning/sanitizing throughout our facility, such as countertops, doorknobs, bathrooms, tabletops, chairs, pews, and all other frequently touched surfaces.
We provide CDC-recommended hand sanitizers (≥60% alcohol content) throughout this facility if handwashing is not an option.
We provide disposable tissues throughout our facility so guests can cover sneezes and coughs, as well as a greater number of trash receptacles to immediately dispose of used tissues.
We discourage our staff from using other’s work tools, such as phones, desks, offices or other equipment, whenever possible.
We ask staff to follow social-distancing guidelines and to stay home if feeling sick.
Please note: Funerals with public viewings with more that 10 people will be delayed a minimum of two weeks from March 23rd. This may be extended.
If you are requesting direct cremation, we ask that you delay the memorial service until the crisis has passed.
We hope you do not need our services, but we are on call 24/7 and are ready to assist your family in their time of need. If you have an immediate need, please call us now at 215-295-7725
God Bless Us All!
