I can’t say enough about the service we received when arranging my husband’s funeral. Steve was not only helpful but was willing to spend as much time as we needed to make our decisions. The day of the funeral everything was handled with professionalism and care. Hooper Funeral Home went above and beyond with all that they provided. I would highly recommend them.
Thank you so much for your website. I recently moved to Florida and wasnt able to attend my friend Kenias funeral. This site brought joy to me as I lit my candle for her. God is good!!!!!!
We recently had a funeral for a family member at J Allen Hooper. I cannot express the caring and attention to all details that Steve and the staff provided for us. During times as these so much is happening and it was a comfort to know that things we would have overlooked were not do to the attention to all details that the funeral home provided. The facility was a very comfortable place that had many small places for family to gather. The DVD playing with the photos allowed us to even smile during a very sad time. Thank You Steve and Staff!
Great at using Technology
I was so happy with the Hooper Funeral Chapel. They provided a qr scan code in the obituary that went right to a web page created for my mom. In addition, the register book was completely personalized, including pictures that I provided to them. They provided a DVD utilizing all of the pictures that I gave to them, had mom's website online where people could see not only the DVD presentation but a video of the services as well. They gave me a free memorial candle and gave every family member a FREE guardian angel lapel pin to identify all of the family members. It was a perfect funeral that I ever attended, and was proud that I could provide that level of service for my mom.
Our family was very comforted by the J Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel. We met with Stephen Ullrich who was exceptionally kind and helpful in presenting the services and choices provided and assured us that our wishes would be respected. They were always available and responsive to our concerns and requests. During what was a difficult time for our family they were professional but always sensitive to our needs. Accommodations were made to meet our wishes and they went beyond our expectations to memorialize our loved one with warmth and dignity. We are so grateful for the care and attentiveness of Steve and the entire staff of the J Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel and would highly recommend them. They provided an exceptional level of professional and compassionate care.
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL THING YOU DID FOR TIFFANY AND FRANKY BY COVERING ALL EXPENSES FOR HIS FUNERAL. ITS HARD ENOUGH FOR HER TO GO THROUGH LOSING HER CHILD LET ALONE WORRY ABOUT THE FINANCIAL PART. IM SURE YOU LIFTED A HUGE WEIGHT OFF OF HER SHOULDERS. BEAUTIFUL AND KIND

A HEART FELT THANK YOU DEAR STEVE AND STAFF, SO MANY TIMES THIS WEEK MOM AND I HAVE MENTIONED HOW SMOOTHLY AND LOVINGLY DAD'S VIEWING WAS CARRIED OUT. WE ARE NOT YOUR CONVENTIONAL FAMILY AND APPRECIATED THE FACT THAT WE WERE FREE TO BE OURSELVES AND GIVE POP THE SEND OFF HE DESERVED, EVEN OUR GUITARIST AT THE END. WE THOUGHT YOU MIGHT ENJOY OUR LETTING YOU KNOW. WE ARE ALSO POSITIVE THAT WE DID THE RIGHT THING IN BRINGING HIM HOME TO MORRISVILLE AND PUTTING HIM IN YOUR CARE. THANK YOU EVER SO MUCH. THE FAMILY OF NORMAN KRIER SR.
STEVE IS ONE OF THE MOST THOUGHTFUL AND CARING FUNERAL DIRECTORS I HAVE MET OVER THE COURSE OF THE PAST 2 YEARS. HE IS PROGRESSIVE IN THINKING, AWARE OF THE CHANGING NEEDS OF CONSUMERS AND CONSIDERATE TO ALL FAMILIES REGARDLESS OF BUDGET.
I CONSIDER STEVE TO BE NOT ONLY A BUSINESS ASSOCIATE AND ADVISOR, BUT ALSO A FRIEND.
MR. ULLRICH IS A VERY CARING INDIVIDUAL. HE IS SUPPORTIVE OF OTHERS AND THE COMMUNITY AROUND HIM. THANK YOU, STEPHEN, FOR ALL THAT YOU DO!
Stephen has provided services for my family and I since I was 27 years old. He is very compassionate during a very trying time, works extremely well in his field and provides a service second to none. Most recently I had to transport my Mother back to Bucks County, PA from Florida. Stephen made it seamless making sure when I arrived in PA everything would be taken care of exactly as I had planned. If you are in need of a Funeral Director I would highly recommend Stephen Ullrich for your needs
Steve is the upmost professional, yet caring and compassionate. He handled everything for my Mom's funeral, down to the finest detail, so we were able to be with family at this special time. I absolutely without hesitation recommend Steve and Hooper Funeral Chapel when the need is at hand.
Hooper has handled all our family funerals. I would like to say that Steve was more than caring. Everything that Steve arranged for me and my family made me feel comfortable and was consistent with his work.
The funeral director making the arrangements was professional and helped me every step! He was responsive, helpful, caring, knowledgeable, and FANTASTIC!
The funeral director was very professional & compassionate with my family and did an excelent job on preparing my mother for her final journey.
We were given good information and good advice, which we greatly appreciated. Thank you for all of your help.
Steve, I hope you remember me. I am Audrey Lorraine Talone Uber's daughter (she passed away in May in CA and buried with your services in June 2013.)
I am sorry for the tardiness but if you remember I have had some serious health issues this year. I just want to thank you for all that you had done for me, the accomodations that you made, your kind demeanor and patience. I tried to call you to thank you but never got you. I suspect that your hands were full helping others in my situation.
I hope that your boss knows how irreplaceable that you are and what a wonderful face you put on Hoopers. The Hoopers were my grand parents best friends and I remember Rita particularly well. I would have been very, very disappointed to see the place go down hill. Clearly, with your leadership under the new owners it has blossomed. Your website and technical accommodations made it particularly easy for someone planning a "bi-coastal" funeral.
You truly came across as a friend at a time of need. I also apologize for whatever family frictions ensued. As the person in charge, I can say that you satisfied me beyond my expectations. I knew what my mom would have wanted and would have been proud of me doing and you delivered.
Please, please feel free to print this email and show Pete, the owner. I want him to know how much I think of you, your approach and your service. I have been meaning to send my sentiments to you for months and I am finally getting to it.
Again, I can say, Rita would be quite pleased. You are doing a job worthy of the founders.
Thank you beyond anything that you can possibly imagine,
Dear Steve, I would like to thank you for the beautiful ceremony that you had for my dad. With sincere appreciation, thank you so much!
We are always interested in hearing from the families that we serve. Please take a moment to let us know how well we served you in your time of need. We very much appreciate your feedback.
Despite the impact of the current coronavirus crisis and the profound disruption it has caused to our daily lives, please know that our Funeral Home remains committed to helping families, relatives and friends say farewell to their loved ones as meaningfully as possible. To that end, this facility has taken the following steps to balance the needs of mourners and guests with the recommended precautions communicated to us by the CDC and the National Funeral Directors Association:
We routinely perform environmental cleaning/sanitizing throughout our facility, such as countertops, doorknobs, bathrooms, tabletops, chairs, pews, and all other frequently touched surfaces.
We provide CDC-recommended hand sanitizers (≥60% alcohol content) throughout this facility if handwashing is not an option.
We provide disposable tissues throughout our facility so guests can cover sneezes and coughs, as well as a greater number of trash receptacles to immediately dispose of used tissues.
We discourage our staff from using other’s work tools, such as phones, desks, offices or other equipment, whenever possible.
We ask staff to follow social-distancing guidelines and to stay home if feeling sick.
Please note: Funerals with public viewings with more that 10 people will be delayed a minimum of two weeks from March 23rd. This may be extended.
If you are requesting direct cremation, we ask that you delay the memorial service until the crisis has passed.
We hope you do not need our services, but we are on call 24/7 and are ready to assist your family in their time of need. If you have an immediate need, please call us now at 215-295-7725
God Bless Us All!
