Will Thompson II

Will Thompson II, age 89 of Langhorne, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Sunrise of Lower Makefield.  He was born in Bryn Mawr, PA to the late Will and Grace (Richards) Thompson.

Mr. Thompson graduated from The Haverford School, Class of 1949, as well as M.I.T., with his degree in Electrical Engineering.  He earned his Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.  A proud Veteran of the Army Signal Corps, Mr. Thompson went on to work at Philadelphia Electric Company for 14 years, and continued his career with I.B.M., working with computers for 25 years.

Will was a member of the Morrisville Presbyterian Church, where he enjoyed singing in the choir.  He not only enjoyed working on, and with computers, but playing games on them as well.  Mr. Thompson very much loved sailing, playing tennis, and skiing.  Being good with his hands, he was very handy around the house and took pride in fixing things.

He is survived by his loving wife Thelma (Titus) Thompson, a son and daughter-in-law Andrew and Lucia Thompson of Los Gatos, CA, a daughter and son-in-law Susan and Eric Scharpf of New Zealand, and six grandchildren, William and Annelise Scharpf, and Matteo, Nadia, Mia and Nico Thompson.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at 2 PM on Tuesday, October, 27, 2020 at the family residence, 166 Shady Brook Dr, Langhorne, PA  19047.  The service will be held in the back yard, and those wishing to sit are requested to bring a lawn chair. MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES . The Rev. Rachel Rhodes, Pastor of the Morrisville Presbyterian Church, will officiate.
