Wai Kam Fong, age 75 of Irvington, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Lakeview Rehabilitation and Care Center, Wayne, NJ. Born in China, she lived in East Orange, NJ before moving to Irvington over 40 years ago.
Wai enjoyed gardening, traveling, shopping at Chinese markets, watching Chinese soap operas, taking nice strolls outside, and enjoyed just being with her grandkids. She also loved the company of her friends and family and going to her favorite restaurant, Noodle Wong. But mostly, she enjoyed cooking for everyone she knew. She always made sure you ate!!
Wai Kam Fong was, and will be known as, a kind, loving, caring and giving woman. She will be greatly missed by all.

Daughter of the late Fay Jim Woo and Wai Lun Woo, mother of the late John Fong, sister of the late Shoo Yen Fong and Gin Park Woo, and sister-in-law of the late Bill Kwan, she is survived by her husband Sai Jow Fong, her daughter and son-in-law Linda and Joseph Smallheer of Wayne, NJ, her sister Grace Kwan, a sister -in-law Yee Ling Woo, a brother-in-law Wilson Fong, three grandchildren, Mia, Alyssa and Emma Smallheer, nieces Linda and Jessica Kwan, Amy Woo, Sharon Fong Lagaspi and Karen Fong King, and a nephew Stephen Fong.
Her services will be held privately, entrusted to the care of the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel.
