Salvatore "Sam" J. Gibilisco, Jr.
March 26, 1936 — July 1, 2019
Salvatore "Sam" Gibilisco, Jr., age 83, of Morrisville, PA passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Monday, July 1, 2019 at Capital Health System at Fuld. Born in Trenton, NJ, he had been a lifelong Morrisville resident. Sam attended Trenton High School, and began learning the family trade as a cobbler, at the age of eight. He was the owner of Sam's Shoe Repair in Morrisville for 49 years. Mr. Gibilisco was a former Morrisville Councilman, and served on the Civil Service Committee. Among his many interest, he enjoyed boating, fishing, mechanical work, and gardening.
Son of the late Salvatore J. Sr. and Catherine (Piscopo) Gibilisco, brother-in-law of the late Rev. John Schell, and husband of the late Nannie (Smith) B. Gibilisco, he is survived by his son Salvatore J. Gibilisco III of Bordentown, NJ, three daughters and a son-in-law Debbie Ann Gibilisco of Morrisville, Dyan Mashman of Valencia, CA, and Darlene and Michael Marant, Sr. of Hamilton Township, NJ. He is also survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law Joseph and Linda Gibilisco of Penndel, PA and Louie and Debbie Gibilisco of Newtown, PA, a sister Dawn Schell of New Jersey, ten grandchildren Samantha (and Bill) Tozzi, Briana and Salvatore Gibilisco IV, Robert and Charles Gilmore, Joseph Mashman, Jennifer Figueroa, Michael Marant, Jr., Mario Marant, Nicole Mazurkiewicz and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 10 AM on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at the Capital Assembly of God, 1380 Whitehorse Hamilton Square Rd., Hamilton Township, NJ 08690. The Rev. Jack Cairns and the Rev. Jay Gibilisco will officiate. His interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Trenton, NJ.
Friends may call Friday evening from 7- 9 PM at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067, and on Saturday from 9 - 10 AM at the church.
