Rose (Marrazzo) Silvi

Morrisville, PA

Rosalie “Rose” (Marrazzo) Silvi, age 97 of Morrisville, PA, quietly passed into the arms of her Lord on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at her family home.

Born in Morrisville, Mrs. Silvi remained a lifelong resident of Bucks County, and a graduate of Morrisville High school where she played on the women’s basketball and softball teams.

Along with her husband, Laurence Silvi Sr., she co-founded Silvi Concrete.  Larry, a US Navy veteran, and Rose were active members of the Navy League. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi Women’s social club, and a life-long congregant of the Calvary Full Gospel Church in Fairless Hills.

A pivotal period in her life was WW II, when she joined the war effort taking a job at Fleetwings in Bristol, the local contractor that produced aircraft and aircraft components for military.  She was a real life “Rosie the Riveter”.  Fleetwings also had a women’s softball team, the Sparrows, and Rose played on the team, making new friends, including one Anna Cattani, who “arranged” an introduction to her cousin Larry, who became her husband and love of her life.

Foremost to Rose was “Famiglia”, the source of her strengths:   her integrity, kindness, generosity and grace.

Daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Diletto) Marrazzo, and wife of 54 years to the late Laurence J. Silvi, Sr, she is survived by her daughter Debra Silvi and Jerry Boutcher of Washington DC, three sons and daughters-in-law John and Joy Silvi of Newtown, PA, Laurence II and Mary Jo Silvi of Newtown and Gary and Monique Silvi of Villanova, PA, a brother and sister-in-law Norman and Mary Lou Marrazzo of Morrisville, a sister and brother-in-law Ginger and Frank Cracker of Levittown, ten grandchildren, Kristen, Dina, Lauren, Bridget, Jenna, Laurence III, Jacqueline Rose, Gianna Rose, Reagan and Callan, seven great grandchildren, Lilliana Rose, Mariella, Laurence IV, Christian, Luca, Collette “Coco”, and Jonathan, as well as an abundance of nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service to he held at 11 AM on Friday, Oct. 23, 2020 at Calvary Full Gospel Church, 676 Lincoln Highway, Fairless Hills, PA  19030.  The Rev. David Farina, Pastor, will officiate.  Her interment in Morrisville Cemetery will be held privately for family members only.

Friends may call Friday from 9:30 AM – 11 AM at the church. PLEASE NOTE – AT THE REQUEST OF THE FAMILY, NO ONE MAY ATTEND WITHOUT WEARING A MASK.
