Richard Philip Sullivan, age 81 of Yardley, PA passed away peacefully on Friday, August 19, 2022 at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton. Born in Trenton, Mr. Sullivan lived in England, Sacramento, CA and South Carolina before settling in Yardley over 50 years ago.
A graduate of St. Joseph College in Philadelphia, he was a proud Air Force Veteran, serving over 20 years as a navigator in the Air Force and attaining the rank of Major. He was privileged to teach in the ROTC program in various New Jersey high schools. A member of LA Fitness in Oxford Valley, he was an avid racquetball player. Richard also enjoyed running, but will always be remembered for being an instigator.
Son of the late Richard Francis and Margaret (Bruthers) Sullivan, he is survived by his wife Barbara (Galambos) Sullivan, a son Rick Sullivan of Yardley, PA, two brothers and sisters-in-law Tom and Jodi Sullivan and Robert and Patricia Sullivan, all of Morrisville, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service to be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067. His interment, with military honors, will be held on Sept. 6, 2022 at 11:30 AM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd., Newtown, PA 18940.
Friends may call on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022 from 9:30 to 10:30 at the funeral chapel.
