Rene Velazquez

Rene Velazquez, age 68 of Trenton, NJ, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on February 7, 2021. Born in Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico, Rene lived in Camden, NJ before moving closer to his family in Trenton, NJ.

Rene was a highly creative person who enjoyed painting, drawing, making flowers arrangements, and decorating. He also played the piano and guitar and loved to sing.

Son of the late Rojelio and Monserrate (Ruiz) Velazquez; Brother of the late Jose, Ramon and Efrain Velazquez and father to the late Francisco Velazquez; Rene is survived by his loving long-time companion, Ruth Harney; his children, Melissa, Angela, Lisa, Rene Jr., and Cecelia Velazquez; his siblings, Elvira, Palmira, Rojelio Jr., Francisco and Miguel Velazquez; his grandchildren, Destiny, Natalie, Angielys, Michael, Jose, Ricardo, Xiomyrielee, Xavier, David, Eliana and Noelis; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 11:30 AM on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA  19067.  His interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
