Peter Wisnosky, age 95 of Morrisville, PA passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Attleboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Langhorne, PA.  Born in St. Clair, PA, Mr. Wisnosky has lived in Morrisville for the past 62 years.

Pete was a graduate of Kutztown University and earned his Masters Degree from Rutgers University.  Prior to his retirement in 1988, Mr. Wisnosky worked as an educator with the Pennsbury School District for 30 years, and then proceeded to teach at the Bucks County Community College for 20 years.  A proud Army Veteran of WW II, he served with the 79th Infantry Division, 315th Regiment, Cannon Company.  Among the five campaigns in which he took part were the Battle of Normandy, the Battle of the Bulge and the Liberation of the Dachau Prison Camp. Mr. Wisnosky was also a recipient of the Bronze Star and the Combat Infantry Badge.

Pete was a member of the Morrisville United Methodist Church, where he served in various capacities for decades.  He was also a member of the Yardley-Morrisville Area Rotary Club, the American Legion, VFW Post #6393 in Yardley, Masonic Lodge # 427 F. & A.M., where he was a 32nd degree mason, and the Alumni Board of Kutztown University.  Mr. Wisnosky was an avid golfer who also enjoyed gardening and sharing his produce with his neighbors.

Son of the late Samuel and Mary (Holobetz) Wisnosky, husband of the late Elizabeth (Yerkes) Wisnosky and father of the late Richard L. Wisnosky, Pete is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Janice L. and John D. Timlin, Jr. of Abington Twp., PA, a son and daughter-in-law Thomas R. and Ellen M. Wisnosky of Morrisville, PA, three grandchildren Sarah (Luke) Morris, Michael Wisnosky and John Timlin III, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at 11 AM on Friday, June 18, 2021 at the Morrisville United Methodist Church, 501 W. Maple Ave., Morrisville, PA  19067.  The Rev. Wendy Bellis, Pastor, will officiate.

Friends may gather on Friday from 10 AM until time of services at the church.

His interment, with military honors, will be held in Washington Crossing National Cemetery at 1:30 PM on Friday, July 9, 2021.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in Mr. Wisnosky’s name, may be made to the Morrisville United Methodist Church at the address above.
