Michael Jeffrey Beard

Michael Jeffrey Beard, Sr., age 53 of Morrisville, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at his home.  Born in Bristol, PA, Michael lived in Newportville before moving to Morrisville 25 years ago. 

He had been employed as a machinist with EF Precision in Willow Grove for several years.  Michael was a member of the Penn Warner Club and was an avid fisherman.  He loved nature almost as much as he loved being a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Son of the late Harry E. and Helen L. (Miller) Beard, he is survived by his devoted wife Darlena (Griscavage) Beard, his children Michael J. Beard, Jr. (Megan) of Morrisville, Jesse A. Beard (Courtney) of Big Lake, TX, Ashley N. Beard of Bensalem, Matthew J. Beard of Morrisville and Mikayla L. Beard (Tommy) of Bensalem, eight grandchildren Billie, Abigail, Tinsley, David, Lillyanna, Jesse Jr., Rhyder and Raleigh.  He was affectionately known to everyone as “Poppy”.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his celebration of life at 11 AM on Friday, May 26, 2023 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA  19067.  His entombment in Beechwood Cemetery will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
