Marie E. (Titus) Kostar

Marie E. Kostar, age 83 of Yardley, PA passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Trenton, NJ, Marie was a lifelong resident of Yardley.

She was a graduate of Morrisville High School, class of 1956.  Prior to her retirement, Marie was employed as an accountant with New Jersey Manufacturer’s Insurance Company for 33 years.  She was an active volunteer with Aide for Friends, and served as Girl Scout and Brownie leader as well as a Cub Scout Den Mother.  Always being active, she also volunteered her time as a softball coach with Pennsbury Athletic Association.  Additionally, Marie enjoyed playing games on her computer.

Daughter of the late Perle Chamberlain and Lillian (Kessler) Titus, wife of the late Robert W. Kostar, mother of the late Timothy D. Kostar and Grandmother of the late Timothy J. Brigham, Marie is survived by two daughters, Lorie A. (James) Kirk of Yardley and Susan Nelson of Arizona, a son Robert Kostar of Langhorne, a daughter-in-law Mayumi Kostar of Merrimack, NH, a sister Barbara Fitzgibbon of Washington Twp., NJ, a brother George Titus of Levittown, 5 grandchildren, Shane “Punk” Gibbons, Ryan Gibbons and his spouse Richard Highley, Nicole Nelson and Matthew and Tohkey Kostar, a grand daughter-in-law Madison Brigham, a great grandson Timothy J. Brigham, Jr, and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her graveside service to be held at 1 O’Clock on Monday, April 18, 2022 at St. Ignatius Cemetery, River Rd., Yardley.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Marie’s name be made to Caring For Friends of St. Ignatius Church. Donations can be sent to the Rectory. (999 Reading Ave. Yardley, PA 19067).
