Kenneth Wayne Hagy

Kenneth W Hagy a resident of Yardley, PA, passed on Monday morning July 15, 2019 after complications from heart failure. He was 88 years young.

Ken was a thoughtful, mild-mannered man who loved life and everyone around him. His positive attitude and selfless nature made him a joy to know. He had a great sense of humor that would often catch you off guard or make you laugh until your cheeks hurt. Ken enjoyed supporting all of the Philadelphia sports teams, travel, museums, loved playing ping-pong, golf, driving his 2001 Chrysler Concorde, and being a true Mr Fixit.

He is survived by his second wife, Peggy Richards-Hagy, his children, Susan Hagy, Jeffrey Sacks, Diane Hagy- King, William King, Sharon Hagy Tuk, Michael Tuk (deceased), Richard Stones, Vicki Stones, stepchildren Kendal Mott and Tosha Mott, and Roger Elkin.

He is also survived by eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and two on the way.

He was predeceased by his parents Kenneth Hehl Hagy and Eleanor Findley Fleming Hagy from Havertown PA, stepmother, Thelma Martzall Hagy, and sister, Eleanor Janice Hagy Leidy.

Ken graduated from Gettysburg College with a degree in math/physics and received a masters degree in meteorology from the University of Wisconsin.

He served as a Captain in the US Air Force from 1953-1966 at Niagara Falls, New York.

Ken was a meteorologist for the National Weather Service from 1957 to 1994.

In 1953, he married Patricia Light, who passed in May of 1985. Patricia was the mother of his children raised in Springfield, Delaware County, PA.

In 1988, he married Peggy Richards Mott. They shared a home in Yardley for the past 31 years.

Services will be held on Monday July 29, at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel in Morrisville, PA . There will be a public calling at 10 am, followed by a service at 11 am, and interment at Newtown Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions, in Kenneth's name, be made to the American Heart Association (http://www.heart.org) and the Alzheimer's Association. (http://www.alz.org)
