Joseph Francis Murray

Joseph Francis Murray, age 81, of Bristol, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Lower Bucks Hospital. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Joe lived in Morrisville, PA for 11 years before moving to Bristol 6 years ago.

Joe was a devout Catholic who enjoyed attending daily mass. A self-taught pianist, he greatly appreciated music and loved to sing. He graduated from North Catholic High School and attended LaSalle College where he studied physics, philosophy, and German. Joe was a generous contributor to many charities. A very social individual, he made many friends throughout his life, but his greatest joy was spending time with family.

The son of the late John J. Sr. and Mary L. (Smith) Murray, he is survived by a sister and brother-in-law Mary C. and Eugene A. Draganosky of Yardley, a brother John J. Murray, Jr. of Philadelphia, 3 nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, 1 aunt, many cousins, and dear friend Linda.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather from 10:30 to 11:00 AM on Friday, April 14, 2023, at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 201 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA  19067. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, 4268 Richmond St., Philadelphia, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joe’s name may be made to Holy Trinity Church at the address above.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, Morrisville, PA.
