John T. Kupiec, Jr.

John T. Kupiec, Jr. “Big John Kupiec”, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 5, 2021 at Jefferson Bucks Hospital in Langhorne. He was 66. John was a lifelong Yardley/Morrisville resident and a graduate of Pennsbury High school and the Bucks County Technical School. There are no words to say how much he will be missed.
John is the proud owner of the Morrisville Dairy Queen, a family-owned business for over 52 years. He previously worked for General Motors in Ewing, NJ and was the owner of Big John’s Rod and Gun Shop in Levittown. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who totally enjoyed shooting.
He is survived by the love of his life and biggest supporter Beth (Holthenrichs) Kupiec, with whom he would have celebrated 45 years of marriage in 2 weeks, his son, best friend, and biggest fan John Kupiec III of Chesterfield, NJ, his daughter-in-law that he loved so much Jessica Kupiec, his grandchildren that were the light of his life, Teddy and Hanna Kupiec, his loving sister and brother-in-law and dear friends Debbie and Richard Search of New Egypt, NJ, very special brothers-in-law and their wives Bob and Kitty Holthenrichs, Jeff and Mary Holthenrichs, Kurt and Jen Holthenrichs, and so many, much-loved, nieces and nephews. He was especially close to Kelle and Kyle Rhodes and Jennifer Search, who he thought of as his own children, his lifelong friends Brian and Beth Winder who he loved as family and Kim Buch who was like a daughter to him, as well as his much loved pup, Gunner. He especially loved his DQ girls over the years and held them all in a special place in his heart. He was preceded in death by his parents, John, Sr. and Jean Kupiec, his sister-in-law Jessica Mulliniks and brother-in-law Dave Holthenrichs.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at 7 PM on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA, where friends may gather between 4 and 7 PM. PLEASE – this is casual! At John’s request, please wear your jeans or sweats, no suits or ties or dresses, etc. He would be very unhappy to look down and see any.
