Jeanne Berchem

Jeanne Berchem, age 92 of Cape May, NJ passed away on March 3, 2021 in Cape May.

Born in New York City, she grew up in Linden, NJ, and subsequently moved to Westfield, Morrisville, Crestwood Village in Whiting, NJ before settling in Cape May.  She was a founding parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church in Morrisville, and was proud to have raised three wonderful boys.Jeanne enjoyed cooking and attending family functions, especially as hostess of the family's annual Christmas Eve celebration. She rarely missed remembering family and friend's birthdays, anniversaries, etc. and did her part in keeping Hallmark cards in business.

Daughter of the late Christian and Helen (Koerner) Alzheimer, wife of 57 years to the late Gunther Berchem, and sister of the late Veronica and Alfred Alzheimer and Jacquelyn Candle, she is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law Doug and Eileen Berchem of Biltmore Lakes, NC, Mark and Anne Berchem of Cape May, NJ and Timothy and Jennifer Berchem of Godwin, NC, a sister Kathy Anziano, six grandchildren David, Matthew, Stephanie, Andrew, Michael and Jonathan, and a great grandson Christian.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at 11 AM on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at the J Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA.  Father William Monaghan of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church will officiate.  Her interment will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne, PA.
