Irene (Sarrio) Lord

Irene Lord, age 88 of Robbinsville, NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 6 , 2021 at Capital Health of Hopewell.  Born in Fallsington, PA, Irene lived in the home built by her and her husband in Robbinsville for the past 61 years.

Irene was a longtime member of the Morrisville Presbyterian Church.  She loved to cook, relishing the time her family would gather for wonderful meals.  She also enjoyed cross stitching blankets for her grandchildren.  Irene loved family gatherings for the holidays and spending time in New Smyrna Beach, FL.   Attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and activities gave her great joy, as did cheering on her late husband at his racing events.

Daughter of the late Anthony and Louise (Tarr) Sarrio, and wife of 62 years to the late James William Lord, Sr., she is survived by six children, James W. Lord, Jr. of Yardville, NJ, Linda Lord and Michael and Kathy Lord of Robbinsville, NJ, Joseph Lord of Mercerville, NJ, Cindy and William McCabe of Hamilton Township, NJ and Tonia Lecato of Robbinsville, NJ, nine grandchildren, Christopher and Samantha Lord, Nikie (William) Moretti, Joseph Lord, Jr., Victoria McCabe, Robert (Jenn) Lord, Michael Lord, Jr., and Anthony and Trevor Lecato, a great granddaughter Lillian Lee Moretti and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 11 AM at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA  19067.  Her interment will follow in Morrisville Cemetery.

Friends may call Friday evening, July 9, 2021 from 7-9 PM, and on Saturday morning from 10-11 AM at the funeral chapel.
