Barbara J. Kapusta, age 80, of Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, March 8th at Saint Mary’s Medical Center in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. Born in Pittsburgh, Barbara and her husband Myles spent a number of years in Maryland before moving to Yardley, Pennsylvania in 1991. In 2005, they moved to Kingston, PA before Barbara moved to Fairless Hills ten years ago to be closer to her daughter upon her husband’s passing.
Throughout her life, Barbara enjoyed visiting museums as well as art and folk festivals. She loved bird watching in her yard and growing flowers in her garden. The beautiful pink roses outside of her home were breathtaking. Graduating from Duquesne University with a degree in Journalism, Barbara loved watching and reading the news, and she kept up-to-date and current on any information she could. She loved watching Penn State Football games in the fall season and Phillies games in the Spring and Summer and she could frequently be spotted watching reruns of Match Game 76.
Wife of the late Myles Joseph Kapusta, Barbara is survived by her daughter, Arwen J. Kapusta, son-in-law Ronald Mangus, Jr. of Morrisville, and son, Erek M. Kapusta of State College, PA. She is also survived by her two brothers, Thomas Nichols of North Carolina and Gary Nichols of Pittsburgh, PA as well as her nieces and nephews Tom, Rachelle, Brian, Andy, Melanie and Matt, and her loving neighbors and friends.
Relatives and friends may call on Monday, March 13, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 6:oo PM at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067. Brief services will begin at 6:00 PM.
Barbara’s interment will take place promptly at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.
