Obituary of Anna Mae Kownacy

Anna Mae Kownacky, age 84 of Morrisville, PA, died Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at St. Mary Medical Center, Middletown Township, PA. Born in Morrisville, she was a lifelong Morrisville resident.

Mrs. Kownacky was a graduate of Morrisville High School, class of 1945. She had a love for roller skating, especially figure skating, and was a member of the Mercury Rollers at Capital Roller Skating Rink in Trenton. An avid seamstress, she aspired to be a fashion designer when she was young, and created many items for herself and her family. Anna Mae was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Morrisville.

Daughter of the late Russell and Josephine (Maier) Nutt, and wife of the late George M. Kownacky, she is survived by two sons, David R. (and his wife Margaret) Kownacky of Morrisville and Michael T. Kownacky (and his life partner Theodore W. Otten, Jr.) of Yardley, PA, and two granddaughters, Melanie and Jenna Kownacky as well as several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial mass at 11 AM on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 201 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA, where friends may call on Thursday from 10:30 - 11 AM. Interment of cremated remains will follow in the parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Mrs. Kownacky's name be made to Hope For The Animals, Attn: Donations, PO Box 877, Morrisville, PA 19067.
