William R. Marion, age 94 of Levittown, PA passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Archbald, PA, William made a name for himself as a high school basketball standout. It was there that he met and soon married the love of his life, Eleanor. Together they lived in Lackawanna, NY until they moved with their family to Levittown in 1962. He was a welder and maintenance mechanic for several companies and was a proud Army veteran, serving in Japan.
William and his wife Eleanor joined St. Michael’s Church in Levittown, PA, where they raised their children and William sang in the choir. They also attended Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Morrisville, PA. He was a third-degree member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the Bristol Township Senior Center. A devoted fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, he also loved playing bingo. Visiting Ireland was a lifelong dream which he realized a few years ago.
William is predeceased by his parents, John and Anna (Brennan) Marion; his siblings; his daughter, Susan Marion; and granddaughter Kathleen McGee. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years Eleanor (Stachura) Marion; his children, Ellen and Tom Wisnosky of Morrisville, PA, Paticia Marion of Levittown, PA, Michele Marion of Levittown, PA, William and Jessica Marion of Sadsbury, PA, Christine McGee of Manchester, NH, Brian and Regina of East Windsor, NJ and Kevin Marion of Upper Darby, PA; his grandchildren, Michael, William, Jessica, Shaughn, Declan, Eleanor, Kevin McGee, Brian and Regina; and his great-grandchildren; Sheign, Cillian, and Merrick.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass at 11 AM on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 201 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Morrisville, PA 19067 . Following mass will be his interment at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held prior to funeral mass from 10:30 to 11 AM at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in William’s name may be made to Holy Trinity Knights of Columbus, Father Joseph Gallagher Council #3673 (https://holytrinitykoc.com/).
