Wayne Norman Almond, a cherished educator and beloved member of his family, passed away on November 26, 2024, in Morrisville, Pennsylvania, at the age of 78. He was born on December 15, 1945, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Norman Earl Almond and Helen Edith Parker Almond, who laid the foundational values of kindness and hard work that would guide him throughout his life.

Wayne, an inspiring teacher, dedicated his career to shaping young minds within the Delaware County Technical School at Folcroft, Temple University, and the School District of Philadelphia. Where he proudly worked on an annual exhibit for the Philadelphia Flower Show, with his fellow teachers and students. His commitment to education reflected his deep belief in the potential of all his students. Beyond the classroom, Wayne proudly served in the Army, demonstrating his unwavering dedication to his country.

He was a loving husband to Anne M. Alton Almond. Their partnership was a testament to lifelong commitment and companionship. Wayne was the proud father of three sons: Scott D. Rohrbach of Celebration, Florida; Steven C. and Deanna Almond of Lithia, Florida; and Brian D. and Lauren Almond of Levittown, Pennsylvania. He adored each of his five grandchildren, Matthew, Cosette, Claire, Spencer, and Penelope, who brought immense joy and pride to his life.

Wayne treasured the memories made during family vacations and camping trips. He especially loved the tradition of spending Father’s Day at the Commander by the Sea in Wildwood, New Jersey. Those moments will be forever cherished by his family, a reflection of his love for the beach and the happiness it brought to them all.

An advocate for growth and learning, Wayne participated in various organizations, including the Historic Morrisville Society, Student Loan Fund, and the Future Farmers of America. He had a genuine passion for technology, eagerly learning to navigate his computer, which complemented his love for photography—capturing moments that resonated deeply with his loved ones.
