Virginia J. Morris (south)

Virginia J. Morris, age 92, of Morrisville, PA, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017, with her family by her side. Born in Fallsington, PA, Virginia had been a lifelong Morrisville resident.Mrs. Morris was a hard worker and held several positions during her lifetime. She worked at Robertson Tile in Morrisville, was a matron with the Morrisville Police Department, with whom she also worked as a school crossing guard for the Morrisville Schools for over 25 years, was a dispatcher with A&B Taxi for 10 years, and also spent 5 years at Ben's Deli in Morrisville. She was an avid gardener and reader, who enjoyed crocheting, knitting, latch hooks and crossword puzzles and word searches.Daughter of the late Charles and Letta (Walkner) South, and wife of the late Clifton C. Morris, she is survived by 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and June Morris of Fairless Hills, Kirk and Cheryl Morris of Hamilton Township, NJ, and Randy and Regina Morris of Alburtis, PA, 3 daughters and a son-in law, June Lucchese of Morrisville, Letta (& Susan Thornton) Morris of Yardley, and Robin and Heriberto Santiago of Morrisville. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at 2 PM on Friday, Oct. 6, 2017 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA. The Reverend Wendy Bellis, Pastor of the Morrisville United Methodist Church, will officiate. The interment of her cremated remains will follow in Morrisville Cemetery.Friends may call Friday afternoon from 1-2 PM at the funeral chapel.
