It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tomasz Andrzej Czarnuszewicz, who left this world on December 13, 2025, in Hopewell, New Jersey. Born on April 19, 1991, in Trenton, New Jersey, Tomasz was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, whose warmth and commitment to service touched the lives of all who knew him.
Tomasz began his career as a security officer at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, then served with dedication as a corrections officer for Montgomery County. For the past six years, he proudly served as a police officer at the University of Pennsylvania, earning several awards for his exemplary service. His career was more than just a job; it was a reflection of his deep commitment to protecting and serving his community.
An alumnus of Pennsbury High School, Class of 2009, and a proud graduate of Westchester University, Tomasz always valued education.
Tomasz's love for sports was evident through his unwavering support for the Los Angeles Lakers, particularly his admiration for Kobe Bryant. He was also a devoted fan of the Philadelphia 76ers. Beyond his passion for basketball, he maintained an active lifestyle, holding several athletic records with Holy Trinity CYO and Pennsbury High School. He enjoyed the thrill of mixed martial arts and found solace in gardening, where he cultivated not just plants, but memories of tranquility and peace.
Having lived in Morrisville before moving to Yardley 21 years ago, Tomasz was a cherished parishioner of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Morrisville, embodying the values of faith and community. His commitment extended beyond family and friends, as demonstrated by his volunteer work coaching soccer for children with autism, which he approached with the same dedication and compassion he applied throughout his life.
Tomasz is survived by Ryszard W. “Richard” and Susan Mary Hannon Czarnuszewicz, his loving parents; his dear daughter, Sage Lee Czarnuszewicz; his brother and sister-in-law Stefan and Sully Czarnuszewicz, and sister and brother-in-law Krystyna and Ilkay Kesemenli. He leaves behind several aunts and uncles, who will treasure the memories of his infectious smile and loving spirit.
As we grieve this tremendous loss, let us remember Tomasz for the incredible impact he made during his time with us. His legacy of service, community spirit, and love for his family will forever reside in our hearts.
Memorial services will be scheduled nearer to his birthday, next April, and will be announced later.
