Theodosia "Doty" Georgette (Bynon) Wilmot

October 29, 1925 — March 8, 2019

Theodosia “Doty” Georgette Bynon Wilmot, 93, of Morrisville, PA passed away on March 8th 2019. Born in Kingston, PA, she lived in Morrisville, PA for more than 65 years. She worked as a riveter from 1943 to 1945.  She owned and operated “Doty’s Diner” in Fallsington, PA for several years, waitressed at The Midtown Motel in Trenton, NJ and at Trionfetti’s Restaurant in Chambersburg, NJ for 27 years before retiring.  She joined the Morrisville Senior Service Center in 1982 and became an active member in 1985 serving on the Board of Directors; as 1st Vice President; managed the kitchen for bingo; assisted with planning trips; assisted past president with social events; delivered Meals on Wheels for 8 years; Mentored at Morrisville High School for 8 years and Head Start for 2 years; and rang the bell for the Salvation Army’s yearly kettle drive.

She enjoyed traveling, visiting such places as the Hawaiian Islands, Ireland, Bermuda with her family and friends, and many cruises.  She bowled once a week; attended activities and socials at the senior center, and especially enjoyed her trips to Atlantic City.

She is predeceased by her father, Daniel Bynon; mother, Florence Troster; brothers William, Bernard, David, John, and Curtis; sisters Virginia Parsons, Jean Blaine, Beverly Honeywell, and Margie Sullivan.

She is also predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Howard W. Wilmot, Sr., her son, Howard W. Wilmot, Jr., and her daughter, Melody A. Kitson.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Roxanne Wilmot, of Severn, MD, her granddaughter, Kelly A. Howard and her husband, Chris, of New Hope, Pa.; granddaughter, Stacy A. Esdaile and her husband, Darnell, of Freehold, NJ; grandson, John Howard Kitson and his wife, Krystyna, of Jackson, NJ; and her great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Howard, Ryan Howard, Sean Kitson, William Kitson, and Maura Kitson.  She is also survived by her sister, Florence Peters of Fairless Hills, PA and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be from 4:30 PM to 6 PM on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 West Trenton Avenue, Morrisville, PA   A funeral service will be held at 6 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Salvation Army PO Box 824 Levittown PA 19058-0824
