Susan Ann (Bitler) Evans

November 25, 1957 — April 8, 2018

Susan Ann Evans passed on to her eternal life with God on Sunday, April 8, 2018 surrounded by her family and friends.  Susan was born on November 25, 1957 in Trenton, NJ.  She was a lifelong resident of Bucks County. Susan graduated from Morrisville High School and attended Bucks County Community College. She worked at Lower Bucks Children’s Center providing loving care to children until she retired in order to fight her 5 year battle with colon cancer.  Susan’s courage and strength were an inspiration to many.

Susan is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, John C. Evans; her mother Ethel Marie Nolan; her sisters, Elaine Beaulieu (Ronald), Diane Becker (Mark), and Deborah Bitler; as well as several aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her brother, David Bitler.

“Aunt Suzie” had a gregarious personality and was loved by all for her generosity and kindness.  Her door was always open.  She provided a home to various family members, friends, and four-legged furry pets in their time of need.  Aunt Suzie was like a second mother to all the babies in the family. Her natural ability to comfort and entertain little ones made Susan a favorite of her nieces and nephews.  Susan loved summer and going to the Jersey shore where she enjoyed relaxing and playing cards with friends and family. A summer would not be complete without being invited to Sue’s for a pool party.  Susan’s other passions included cooking, crafting, and antiquing.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of her life which will be held at J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave. in Morrisville on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 6 - 8 pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 10am at Holy Trinity RC Church, 201 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA  19067.
