Stephen "Steve" Grutza, 66, passed away unexpectedly on March 1, 2026, at the Sunrise Nursing Home and Rehabilitation in Yardley, PA.
Steve was born in Philadelphia to the late Phyllis and Stanley Grutza. He lived a life filled with kindness and friendliness, easily making connections with those around him. Those who knew him appreciated his spirited personality, which brought a little extra spice to everyday interactions. After Steve graduated from high school he went into the workforce. He had many jobs throughout his lifetime, but prior to his retirement, he worked for Kmart in the industrial factory. His work ethic and determination were admirable traits, and he valued the friendships he made during his career. Outside of work, he enjoyed playing cards, hanging out with friends, going sail boating, and simply watching people.
He is survived by his brother, Leonard Grutza, who carries his memory forward. He also leaves behind his cousins and other extended relatives and close friends he had made throughout his life.
Steve's celebration of life will be announced at a future date.
Arrangements are under the direction of the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, Morrisville, PA
