Sarah Ann (Meyer) Sunderland

Sarah Ann Sunderland, age 92 of Morrisville, PA passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, PA.  Born in Rock Springs, Wyoming, Sarah has been an area resident for the past 65 years.
Mrs. Sunderland was a member of the Morrisville Presbyterian Church.  She was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Women’s Army Corps.  Sarah was a member of the Capital View Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and a volunteer at the Morrisville Presbyterian Church Clothing Center.  An avid bowler at Delmor Lanes, she enjoyed gardening and collecting owls.
Daughter of the late Carl and Ethel (Kenagy) Meyer, wife of the late Chester G. Sunderland and sister of the late Florence Watson and Mary Manias, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Stuart C. and Lori J. Sunderland of Fairless Hills, PA, a daughter and son-in-law Diane and John Sullivan of Yardley, two nieces Cheryl Vilas of Pueblo, CO and Tanya Ward of Colorado Springs, CO, and a nephew Carl Ward of Pueblo, CO.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 10-11 AM at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA  19067.  Her memorial service will follow at 11 AM, with the Rev. Jack McAnlis, officiating.
Her interment will be held privately.
