Rosemary Delores MacAvoy 98 of Bonita Springs, Florida passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025 at Avow Hospice in Naples, Florida just one week shy of her 99th Birthday.
Born on September 6 1926, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Rosemary was the Beloved Daughter of the late Francis James and Agnes Hendricks. After completing school at Simon Gratz High School, she moved to Langhorne, Pennsylvania, where she met the love of her life, Joseph MacAvoy. They shared a beautiful; marriage and built a loving family together, raising two children, Wayne MacAoy and LeeAnn Luzi.
A woman of many talents and endless grace, Rosemary had a deep love for art. She was an exceptionally gifted painter whose skill led her to paint fine China at Cordey China and Pennsbury Pottery. She loved her garden and loved tending to her flowers and plants.
Above all, Rosemary will be remembered for her kindness and warmth. She had a special gift for making everyone she met feel valued and loved. For so many, she wasn’t just a friend. She was everyone’s Mom. Her generosity and gentle
presence will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
Rosemary is survived by her loving children, Wayne MacAvoy of Hellertown, Pennsylvania and LeeAnn Luzi of Naples Florida, her cherished Granddaughter Kellie Ann Barber, her adored Great-granddaughter Andie Wilde Barber, her devoted Son-in-law John Luzi, Daughter-in-law Kathleen Warchol, Grand-Son-in-Law Tom Barber along with extended family members and friends.
She was predeceased by her beloved Husband Joseph MacAvoy, as well as her Sister Doris Cameron and Brother-in-law George Cameron.
Rosemary was privately laid to rest at White Chapel Cemetery in Feasterville, Pennsylvania for close family and friends arranged by J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave Morrisville, Pa 19067.
