Robert A. "Bob" Carr, Sr., passed away suddenly but peacefully on August 13, 2026, at Hale County Hospital in Greensboro, Alabama. Born on November 4, 1950, in Bristol, Pennsylvania, Robert’s journey was one marked by devotion to his family, tireless service to his community, and a steadfast commitment to his many passions.
To his loved ones, Robert was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend whose generosity and steadfastness never wavered. He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Reichard Carr, who stood by his side through life's every triumph and challenge. Together they built a family bonded by love and mutual respect.
Robert leaves behind his loving wife Barbara, his daughter, Kimberly A. Carr, and son-in-law, Brian Schafer and his son, Robert Jr. Carr, and daughter-in-law, Tiffany Carr; His devotion as a father was evident in the strength and warmth he brought to their lives. He will be deeply missed by his cherished grandchildren: Tyler Robert Shipp and his spouse Regina, Breanna Nicole Shipp and her spouse Billy, and Bastian Carr. Bob’s joy was multiplied by the bright presence of his great-grandchildren: Billy, Bo, and Marlee. The lives of his many nieces and nephews were enriched by his wisdom and kindness.
Robert’s circle of family was broad and loving. He is remembered fondly by his siblings and their families: Brother Earl C. Carr and sister-in-law Linda Carr; brother Martin J. Carr and sister-in-law Donna Carr; brother John J. Carr; sister Mary Jane McLane and brother-in-law Stephen McLane; sister Cathy Ann Hoy and brother-in-law Patrick Hoy.
He was predeceased by his parents, Earl C. Carr and Mary J. Noble Carr, whose teachings and values guided him throughout his life.
Bob’s impact extended far beyond his immediate family. He found deep fulfillment in community, faith, and service. As a dedicated member of Morrisville United Methodist Church, he embodied the principles of faith, compassion, and goodwill. His commitment to his professional community was unwavering, serving as a member—and at times the president—of both the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Heating and Cooling Associations, the Master Plumbers Association, and Quality Service Contractors. These roles reflected his expertise and leadership within his field.
Service and fellowship were cornerstones of Bob’s life. He was an active member of the Morrisville Rotary Club and the Morrisville/Fairless Hills Elks, forging lasting friendships and participating in projects that bettered his hometown. Bob’s passion for supporting youth and local activities shone in his sponsorship of his grandson Tyler’s Soap Box Derby car and the many Morrisville Little League teams he proudly supported over the years. Through such endeavors, Robert nurtured the spirit and confidence of younger generations, leaving a lasting mark on countless lives.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Memorial Gathering at the Morrisville United Methodist Church, 501 West Maple Avenue, Morrisville, PA 19067, on August 28, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., immediately followed by a Memorial Service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the same location. All who knew and cared for Robert are welcome to join in honoring his legacy.
Robert A. Carr, Sr. will be remembered for his unwavering integrity, his devotion to those he loved, and his commitment to service above self. His memory will continue to inspire all fortunate enough to have known him.
