Richard W. Kupst, 75, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his children on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. After a long and courageous battle, he is now finally at peace.
Rick was born in Pittston, PA to the late Leonard A. and Mary (Sweeney) Kupst. He was raised in Perth Amboy, NJ before settling into Bucks County in 1989. Rick bravely served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and earned multiple medals in recognition of his sacrifice. His desire to help others continued well after his military service; he dedicated many years as a Firefighter and EMT in Perth Amboy, proudly protecting his community. He also worked as a production manager for several manufacturing firms and later owned his own contracting business before retiring in 2012.
Rick was a fun-loving man whose generosity, quick wit, and wry sense of humor delighted family and friends alike. He loved traveling, with frequent getaway trips to Atlantic City and The Villages, FL. He also enjoyed horse racing and cheering on the New York Jets. Above all, however, Rick’s greatest pride was his family.
Rick is predeceased by his best friend and wife of 43 years, Patricia (Hrevnak) Kupst, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and laughter; as well as his brother, Lenoard T. and his sister, Diane. He is survived by his sons, Michael, Christopher and Timothy; his daughter, Lauren and her husband, Richard Bak; along with his 7 beloved grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy: Erin, Kayla, Hannah, Madeline, Richard, Kaitlin, and Leland. He was likewise blessed with 2 great-grandchildren, Tyler and Sariya. Rick is also survived by his ever-loyal canine companion, Adrian.
A visitation will be held on Monday July 20, 2026, from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave. Morrisville, PA 19067. A prayer service and celebration of life will begin in the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. Interment and military honors will be rendered at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940, following the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Ricks memory to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023 Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
