Rebecca M. Brown, a beloved nurse, wife, sister, and friend, peacefully passed away on June 30, 2025, in Langhorne, after bravely facing her health challenges.
Rebecca was born and raised in Philadelphia, to the late Albert and Rachael Soloman, she was a graduate of South Philadelphia high school, she furthered her education, and she received her RN degree from Thomas Jefferson Nursing School. Rebecca lived a life filled with love, dedication, and compassion, impacting all who knew her. Rebecca devoted her entire career to nursing, beginning her journey at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Center City. She later graced the Friends Unit and concluded her professional path at Lower Bucks Hospital. Her colleagues and patients alike remember her for her intelligence and her caring, gentle nature. She was more than just a nurse; she was a guiding light to those in her care.
In 1981, Rebecca married the love of her life, Frederic “Fred” Brown. Together, they created a comfortable home that reflected their shared values and deep affection for one another. Their bond was evident in their daily lives, whether it was spending time together on vacations or simply enjoying the comforting presence of one another. Those who were lucky enough to witness their relationship could see the depth of their love, filled with laughter and cherished memories. Rebecca's nurturing spirit extended beyond her nursing career and marriage. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life - snacking on good food, immersing herself in captivating books, and cherishing moments spent with friends. Her ability to connect with others and lift their spirits made her a treasured friend to many.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Fred Brown, of 45 years; her brother, Neal Soloman; her cousins, nephews, great nephews, and great nieces; along with her treasured support of friends that she has made throughout her life . God, grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
And wisdom to know the difference.
