Phyllis Catherine Thropp

February 10, 1930 — April 10, 2025

Yardley, PA

Phyllis Catherine Thropp, born on February 10, 1930, in Bristol, PA, peacefully departed from this world on April 10, 2025, at Heatherwood Retirement Community in Honey Brook, PA. Her journey through life was one marked by love, service, and an unwavering commitment to her faith and family.

A proud graduate of Morrisville High School, Phyllis began her career as a telephone operator, a role that showcased her innate ability to connect with others. She later found joy in sharing her passion for music as a piano teacher, enriching the lives of numerous students through her guidance and encouragement.

In 1951, Phyllis took on another enduring role when she married her beloved husband, Frank W. Thropp. Together they built a life in Yardley, PA, surrounded by the warmth of family and friends. During their years together, she became known for her gracious hospitality, always welcoming others with a warm smile and an open heart. “Just come,” she would say, embodying her belief in the importance of community and connection. A cup of tea, homemade cookies, and an attentive ear were just a few of the gifts she shared with those fortunate enough to enter her home.

Her spirit of service extended far beyond her doorstep. Phyllis was deeply involved in her church community, where she volunteered in various capacities—be it in the nursery, teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir, or helping in soup kitchens. She dedicated her time to rummage sales, visitation, English tutoring, women's ministry, office help, and senior Bible studies. Through these activities, she touched countless lives, offering support for needs both great and small.

Above all, Phyllis was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, finding immense joy in her family. She is survived by her son, Frank H. Thropp, her daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Tai Yeoh, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Ming and Ying Yeoh. The love she cultivated within her family will carry on through the generations, forever echoing her belief in the significance of family bonds.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, Robert Brenner and Beaulah Grimes Brenner, and will be missed dearly by her brother, Bob Brenner. Her legacy will be cherished, not only through the memories of those who held her dear but also through the many lives she impacted with her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering faith.

As we remember Phyllis Catherine Thropp, let us carry forward her spirit of generosity, her love for family, her passion for sharing God's love with others, and the warmth she brought into our lives. May her soul rest in peace, knowing she leaves behind a tapestry of love woven through her enduring relationships and her heartfelt service to others.
