Penny L. Close (chapman)

Penny L. Chapman Close, age 54, of Morrisville, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 19, 2016 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, PA. Born in Trenton, NJ, she lived in Morrisville, PA; Yardley, PA; Bedminster, PA; Troy, PA for over 20 years; moved to Lititz, PA where she worked as a waitress for Reflections Restaurant in Leola, PA, Bright's Restaurant in Ephrata, PA, as well as the VFW in Lititz, PA. She was also employed as a machinist with Cummings Lumber Mill in Bradford City, PA for 21 years.Penny was a graduate of Troy High School, Class of 1980, where she was a member of the track team. She was a member of the VFW in Lititz and the American Legion in Morrisville. She volunteered at the Morrisville Senior Service Center. Penny loved to bowl at Delmorr Lanes, liked to play bingo, played little league softball, and enjoyed hunting.She is survived by her parents, Paul J. and Marian C. (Peterson) Chapman, a son Derik S. (and wife Fatyma) Close of Atlanta, GA, 2 brothers Paul J. Chapman, Jr. of Sellersville, PA and Mark Chapman of Hellertown, Pa, and several nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to attend her graveside service Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016 at 1 PM at Morrisville Cemetery, S. Anderson Ave. and Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA. The Rev. Wendy Bellis, Pastor of the Morrisville United Methodist Church, will officiate.
