Patricia Catherine Nagy, a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, mother-in-law, friend, and Nana, passed away peacefully at her home in Morrisville, PA, on May 24, 2025, at the age of 77 while surrounded by her family. Born on July 27, 1947, in Yardley, PA, Patricia was a lifelong resident of the Yardley/Morrisville area.
Patricia, whose maiden name was McIntyre, proudly graduated from Morrisville High School in 1965. She worked for the State of New Jersey for a number of years until she began her family, at which point she devoted her life to raising her girls. She was the glue of the Nagy family, and she built a wonderful life with her husband, John W. Nagy, their daughters, Holly Hainsworth (Edward S.) of Langhorne and Amanda Nagy-Lukose (Christopher) of Langhorne, as well as her grandchildren, Eddie and Emelia, who she loved more than anything.
Patricia loved spending time at the beach, particularly Long Beach Island and Wildwood, where she made wonderful memories with loved ones and friends. She was creative and determined and often filled her days crafting, designing, and baking – she made THE best coffee cake. Patricia loved watching the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles and had a special place in her heart for Tyrese Maxey. She also loved music – Neil Diamond, Celine Dion, and Bruno Mars were her favorites. Lately, one of her favorite things to do was spend time with her grandbabies – they brought her more joy than anything in the world. But mostly, Patricia cared about and for everyone; the stories of ways she showed us she loved us would take a lifetime to tell.
Patricia is survived by her devoted husband, John, who was there in sickness and in health for 46 years. She is also survived by her children, two sons-in-law she adored, grandchildren, and extended family that includes her brothers Gerald McIntyre (Carole) of Morrisville, PA and James McIntyre of Trenton, NJ, and sisters Helen Smith (Gene), and Jean Antosciewicz (Walter) both of Trenton, NJ, and many cherished nieces and nephews that she loved immensely. She joins in eternal rest her parents, Joseph and Margaret (Turbert) McIntyre, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Patricia's life will be held on June 2, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services, 41 W. Trenton Avenue, in Morrisville, PA.
As we remember Patricia Nagy, we celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to family. She leaves behind a legacy of happy moments, inside jokes, thoughtful traditions, and enduring love. We were so lucky to know her and call her ours. She will be missed forever.
“I hope this grief stays with me because it’s all of the unexpressed love that I didn’t get to tell her, and I told her every day, she was the best of us.” - Andrew Garfield on the loss of his mama
