Patricia Anne Brofman

Patricia Anne Brofman, née Woodward, a lifelong resident of Lower Bucks County, passed away on August 25, 2026 in Media, Pennsylvania. She was born on July 22,1937 in Trenton, New Jersey and lived a life marked by dedication to her work, service to her community and love for her family.

A graduate of Pennsbury High School, Class of 1954, Patricia Anne carried the values of commitment and steadiness throughout her life. She worked for many years as a clerk in medical offices where her reliability and care were part of her daily contribution. Beyond her work she found joy in the theater groups especially Actors’ Net of Morrisville. She generously gave her time as an usher sharing her enthusiasm for the arts with others.

Patricia Anne also devoted herself to organizations that reflected her sense of service and fellowship. A Life Member of the Historic Morrisville Society and Board Member of Summerseat. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Neshaminy Chapter #374 having served as Worthy Matron 1976-77 a role that spoke to her leadership and dedication. She thoroughly enjoyed Ladies Night & Strawberry Festivals held by Free & Accepted Masons of Morrisville Lodge #778. She was co-chairman for the Morrisville 200 bicentennial celebration and placement of the Robert Morris statue at Robert Morris Park here in Morrisville. Patricia Anne was the 2009 Lower Bucks County YMCA Volunteer of the Year and a Rotary Club member. She was recognized by the Lanza Legend website for her thoughtful donations to the Mario Lanza Museum in Philadelphia on behalf of her Aunt - Kathryn Reitzle. Patricia Anne was active in Morrisville Boro politics having run for councilwoman and Mayor in the 1990s. She was a member of the Falls Township Zoning Board from 1973-76. In the 1960s, she was a member of the Jewish War Veterans Ladies Auxiliary continuing a lifelong pattern of involvement and support for her wider community.

Family was an important part of Patricia Anne’s life. She is survived by her son, Ronald Brofman, known to many as Ron Brofman; her daughter, Cynthia nee Brofman South, known as Cindy South; her brother Richard Woodward and her sisters Betty Lou Trost and Janet Ottey, nine grandchildren, countless great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She will be remembered with love by those who knew her and by the family who carry her memory forward.

She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Woodward; her mother, Mary Louisa Reitzle Woodward; her son Aaron Brofman and grandson Randy ‘Bucky” Brofman. As her family and friends mourn her passing they also honor a life of quiet dedication, community involvement and enduring love as the Matriarch of her family..

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, September 4, 2026 between 10 and 11 AM, at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA  19067  An Order of the Eastern Star service will begin at 11 AM, followed by a celebration of Patricia's life at 11:15 AM.
