It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our dear Mother, Mary H. Litus, who left us on December 22, 2025, just a few days shy of her 97th birthday.
Born in Olyphant, PA, Mom graced this world with her kindness and warmth for nearly a century. Mary was a proud graduate of Carteret High School and went on to be an Administrator for ETS, where she touched the lives of many with her sincere and helpful nature. She loved Christmas time, always bringing joy to those around her and for many years hosted the annual family Ukrainian Christmas celebration with all her relatives. Mary was a Girl Scout Troop Leader guiding young girls to discover their strengths and build lasting friendships. In her community, Mary dedicated many years to serving as a member of the St. Annes Auxiliary in Carteret.
Mary and John moved to Yardley Pa over forty years ago and were devout members of the Episcopal Church of the Incarnation. They enjoyed taking their children and grandchildren to Hilton Head Island to spend family time together and traveled the world visiting places in Europe, Australia, Canada, all fifty states and the Arctic Ocean.
Mary leaves behind her loving family, including her children: Lisa Falk and her husband Thomas of Yardley, PA, Bruce Litus and his partner Carla Ramirez of Yardley, PA, Ken Litus and his wife Marty of Wilson, WY and John Litus and his wife Rhiannon Schmieg of Evanston, IL. Her Brother John Hayduck, of Coatesville, PA. Her seven grandchildren, Jeff Falk, Brian Falk, Jenny Hurst, Michael Litus, Kevin Litus, Ryan Litus and Brynn Litus; her beloved great-grandchildren, Hudson, Banks and Kai, who brought endless smiles to her face. She also leaves behind other extended relatives and close friends. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, John Litus, and her dear parents, Anna and John Hayduk.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 - 11:30 a.m. on Friday January 30th, 2026, at the Episcopal Church of the Incarnation, 1505 Makefield Rd, Yardley, PA 19067. Services will begin at 11:30 a.m. with interment to follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mary's memory to Episcopal Church of the Incarnation 1505 Makefield Rd, Yardley, PA 19067. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
