Mary Elizabeth Fisher (stratton)

Mary Elizabeth Fisher, age 103, of Morrisville, PA, died Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the home of her daughter in Hamilton, NJ. Born in Washington Township, Fayette County, PA, she lived in Ohio and Levittown before moving to Morrisville 55 years ago.Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a sales clerk at J.C. Penney and other retail stores. She is a member of the Morrisville United Methodist Church, and was very active in many church activities. She loved sewing and was a wonderful cook. Mary was a crossword puzzle fanatic.Daughter of the late James Francis and Mary Etta (Miller) Stratton, and wife of the late William Frederick Fisher, she is survived by 3 daughters and 2 sons in law, Shirley and Donald Griesbaum of Lewes, DE, Laurine Kornetti of Hamilton Twp., and Darla and Richard Voss of Yardville, NJ, a sister, Dorothy Mae Prokes of St. Clairsville, OH, 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 11 AM on Friday, February 1, 2013 at the Morrisville United Methodist Church, 501 W. Maple Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067. The Rev. Catherine Bowers, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Newtown Cemetery.Friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W.
