Mary Ann Byrne, a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed on to heaven, on June 25th. Born in November 1946, in Germany, Mary Ann carried the spirit of her roots throughout her life—each chapter defined by an unwavering commitment to family and service. A graduate of Trenton High School, Class of '64, onto Trenton Junior College where she was homecoming queen, and would persist to be the queen of our lives. Graduating from Rider college she equipped herself with a degree of Education, to teach business at Trenton Junior High. She went on to work for the Prosecutors office, and for 35 years, dedicated herself to the State of New Jersey Administrative Offices of the Court.
Mary Ann was deeply rooted in her community, having called Hamilton Township her home for over 50 years before embracing a life on Long Beach Island.
She was a cherished member of the community at St. Georges Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
She found joy among her peers as a member of the Association of Public Managers, the New Jersey Prosecutor's Association, and the Ukrainian Women's Club, forging friendships that would last a lifetime.
In the garden of her life, Mary Ann flourished not only as a dedicated professional but also in her garden, symbolizing her nurturing spirit and commitment to cultivating beauty both in her surroundings and in the lives of those she loved.
Among the things she loved was to attend the Philadelphia Flower Show with her girlfriends, swimming down at the shore with her family in the summer, and traveling to Florida every winter to watch the Eagles with them.
Mary Ann's family was her pride and joy. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jerry, children Jerry and Maribel, and her sister Alexis. Grandmother to Abby and Jerry, she sprinkled the seeds of love and guidance that will continue to bloom in their hearts. She is additionally survived by several cherished nieces and nephews, each carrying forward the warmth of her legacy.
In loving remembrance, friends and family are invited to gather at J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services, 41 W. Trenton Ave. in Morrisville, PA. Visitation will take place on June 30, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, followed by the Funeral Service. Mary Ann will be laid to rest during the inurnment ceremony at Holy Trinity Cemetery on July 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
Mary Ann Byrne's life was characterized by her dedication to service and a steadfast love for her family. As we bid her farewell, we do so with gratitude for the countless memories we share and the indelible mark she has left upon our hearts. May her memory be a blessing and her spirit inspire us to live with love, integrity, and passion.
