Marsha Suzanne (Beck) Garrison, 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Sunday, July 12, 2026, at her home in Yardley, PA.
Marsha was born Jan. 21, 1950, in Bentonville, AR, to the late Alberta (Allred) and Lewis Beck. She graduated from Bentonville High School in 1968 and earned a Bachelor’s in education in 1972 from the University of Arkansas, where she was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority. Her teaching career ranged from preschool to high school, with a focus on special education and students with learning differences. After earning an additional teaching degree from Holy Family University, Marsha taught communication skills at The Pennington School for over 15 years before retiring in 2014. She was universally beloved by students and faculty alike. Students would often stop by her office not just for class but also to visit, talk, and relax – a testament to her warm and welcoming spirit.
Marsha exemplified faith, hope, and love. She loved her family, community, church, and the natural beauty of God's creation. She enjoyed cross-country road trips, never shied away from a rugged impromptu hike to a quiet creek or scenic overlook, and would always take time to admire the beauty of a sunset. She was a lover of animals, flowers (especially roses and sunflowers), and all things bright and beautiful.
She remained an avid Arkansas Razorbacks fan throughout her life, as well as passionately cheering on the Phillies, Eagles, and Army Football alongside her family. Marsha is survived by her husband of 44 years, Gregory; her sons, Brett and Spencer; her brothers, Allen (Marsha Ann) and David (Brandee) Beck; along with other loving relatives and dear friends whose lives she brightened.
A memorial visitation and celebration of life will be held on July 25, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W.
