Margaret A. Witkosky, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted member of her community, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026, in Levittown, Pennsylvania. Born Margaret Koval on March 26, 1929, in Larksville, Pennsylvania, she lived a life marked by devotion—to her faith, her family, and the community she cherished for nearly seven decades.
Margaret and her late husband, Bennie J. "Ben" Witkosky, lovingly owned and operated Ben's Deli in Morrisville, PA for over 40 years. Together, they created not only a cherished local establishment but also a legacy of hard work and warmth that endeared them to many. Those who knew Margaret fondly remember her as an excellent cook, whose culinary talents enriched countless family meals and community gatherings, and as a smart businesswoman.
A woman of steadfast faith, Margaret was a parishioner of St. Ignatius of Antioch Roman Catholic Church in Yardley, Pennsylvania, where she dedicated herself as a volunteer with Aid for Friends and was an active member of the Women's Sodality Group. Her devotion extended beyond the walls of the church into every aspect of her life, embodying kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment.
Margaret’s journey was enriched by the love of her family. She is survived by her daughter, Louise Salinas of Yardley, PA, who devoted nearly a decade to her care as Alzheimer’s disease progressed, and her sons Bernard and Masumi J. Ota of Tokyo, Japan; Anthony and Jeanne Witkosky of Crisfield, MD; and Martin P. and Lisa Witkosky of Newtown, PA. She took great pride in her seven grandchildren: Angela (Ryan) Dawley, Rafael (Austin) Salinas, Daniel Salinas, Naomi Ota, and Madigan, Harper, and Cooper Witkosky. She is also survived by her great‑grandsons Carmen and René Salinas and Sebastian Dawley. In addition, Margaret is remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin Koval and Anna Perhac Koval, and by her beloved husband, Ben, who stood by her side through the many seasons of their shared life.
Margaret’s life will be celebrated with a visitation on May 9, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at St. Ignatius of Antioch Roman Catholic Church, located at 999 Reading Avenue, Yardley, PA 19067. This will be followed by a Mass at 11:30 a.m., commemorating her soul and the faith that sustained her. Interment will take place at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Yardley, Pennsylvania, beginning at 12:45 p.m.
For nearly 70 years, Morrisville and Yardley were more than Margaret’s home—they were the canvas upon which she painted a life of quiet strength, devotion, and love. Her passing leaves a space in the hearts of all who knew her, yet her spirit endures through the memories and the care she so freely gave.
Margaret A. Witkosky will be remembered not only for the life she lived but for the love she imparted and the faith that guided her every step. She was a woman of exemplary faith and dedication who touched many lives and whose memory will be cherished always.
To celebrate her life, the family welcomes flowers or mass cards if so led.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, Morrisville, PA.
