Nancy Lentner, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026, in Yardley, Pennsylvania. Born in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, on March 22, 1936, Margaret lived a life rich in experiences, surrounded by a loving family that brought her immeasurable joy.
A proud graduate of Miami University in Ohio, she dedicated 17 years of her professional life as a paralegal with the distinguished law firm of Seward & Kissel in Manhattan, NY. Her commitment to her career was a reflection of her sharp mind and unwavering diligence, traits that also shone through in her community engagement.
Nancy's roots in Pelham, NY, where she resided from 1972 to 1986, were deeply intertwined with her sense of purpose. As the head of the Recreation Committee, she fostered a spirit of togetherness among residents. Her passion for civic duty was further illustrated by her active involvement with the League of Women Voters and the P.T.A. of the Colonial School in Pelham, NY, where she championed for quality education and community services.
A world traveler at heart, Nancy relished the beauty that life offered. She found immense joy in gardening and hiking, often entwining her love for nature with her adventures around the globe. These passions not only enriched her own life but also inspired those around her to appreciate the simpler joys in life.
Nancy's legacy continues through her surviving family members: her son and daughter-in-law, J and Joanne Lentner, her loving daughter, Leseh Lentner; her dear brother and sister-in-law, James Daniel and Julie Taylor; and her six grandchildren, Christopher, Andrew, Samantha, Mya, Jaheim, and Aliyah, who will carry forward her love and values. She also leaves behind three nieces, Barbie, Kristen, and Amy, who admired her greatly.
She was preceded in death by her cherished daughter, Tarah Lentner, as well as her parents, Norman Taylor and Ethelyn Williams Taylor. Nancy’s memory serves as a reminder of the strength of family bonds, the importance of community involvement, and the pursuit of passions that enrich life.
Her spirit, warmth, and kindness will be profoundly missed, but the light she brought into our lives will shine on through the memories she created and the love she shared. Nancy Lentner leaves a legacy of love, service, and adventure that will resonate through the hearts of all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, Nancy’s wishes were that you consider making a memorial contribution, in her name, to the charity of your choice.
