Linda S. Bunda (née Sailey) touched the lives of many with her warmth, her courage, and her boundless love. Born on March 20, 1968, in Trenton, New Jersey, Linda was raised in Morrisville, PA, where she began weaving the threads of connection and kindness that would define her life. Her journey, though too short, was marked by dedication to others, devotion to her family, and a zest for life that inspired everyone who knew her.
A proud graduate of Morrisville High School, Class of 1986, Linda’s passion for learning led her onward to LaSalle University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree, and later to Rider University, where she achieved her Master’s degree. Her commitment to helping others found its perfect home in her role as Director of Crisis at the Lenape Valley Foundation, where, for five years, she offered strength and solace to individuals and families in their most difficult moments. Linda’s colleagues and those she served will remember her for her compassion, calm in the face of adversity, and unending empathy.
Linda’s personal life was rich with adventure and warmth. She cherished the simple joys: days spent by the Jersey beaches, travels to places filled with sun and laughter—Hawaii, Las Vegas, and Florida were among her favorites. She delighted in the small pleasures of life: savoring ice cream, exploring new coffee shops, cooking meals to bring family and friends together, and attending Bible studies that fed her soul. An avid enthusiast of all things Philly sports, Linda’s cheer was infectious, embodying the very spirit of the teams she supported.
After eleven years in Holland, PA, Linda made a home in Newtown, where for nine years she continued to build a life filled with community, service, and friendship. Her roots always remained intertwined with the people and places that shaped her.
A devoted member of the Breast Friends of Pennsylvania Support group, Linda found strength and purpose in offering solidarity and encouragement to others on similar journeys. Of all her accomplishments, she held a special pride in being a grandmother—her love for Blair, Stella, Callum, Brayden, and Isabella radiated at every mention, and her eyes sparkled brightest in their company.
Linda’s absence will be deeply felt by those who shared in her life’s journey. She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard D. Bunda; her loving mother, Kathy Wolk Sailey; her daughters, Kristin (and son-in-law Derek Beitz) and Kelly (and son-in-law Thomas Droege); her sons, Jack Donohue and Nicholas Donohue; her step-sons, Austen Bunda and Colten Bunda; her brother Charles Sailey, Jr.; her sisters, Lori and Leslie Sailey; her brothers-in-law, Rick Lebowitz and Pete Gevaras; her cherished grandchildren, Blair, Stella, Callum, Brayden, and Isabella; as well as her nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. Linda’s memory is also treasured by many friends and the wider community who came to know her gentle strength.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Sailey, whose memory she always held close to her heart.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Memorial Gathering on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services, 41 W.
