Lillian J. (Roman) Zola

Lillian J. (Roman) Zola, age 102 of Morrisville, PA, passed away at Capital Health Regional on Monday, June 19, 2023. She was a woman of courage, strength, faith, and independence and lived a long and beautiful life. Most importantly, she always lead with honesty and a positive attitude.

Lillian was born and raised in Hazleton, PA, and moved with her husband and family to Morrisville in 1964. She learned to appreciate the simple things in life and grew an affinity for nature. Lillian loved to read, cook, and bake. She baked every week, lining the counters with an abundance of pastries for her loved ones to enjoy. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church and a member of the Morrisville Senior Center where she developed dear friendships. Mrs. Zola was an avid writer, making sure to always publish an article in the Morrisville Senior Center’s newsletter.

Mrs. Zola is predeceased by her parents, Stefano and Lena (Avillion) Roman, her eight siblings, and her husband of 63 years, Joseph Anthony Zola and daughter-in-law, Janice Zola. Lillian is survived by her children, James J. Zola of Sugarloaf, PA, Mark S. and Candice Zola of Glenmoore, PA, Linda Z. and Iradj Sharim of Yardley, PA and Emile R. Zola of Alexandria, PA, her grandchildren, James, Jeffrey, Marisa, Amanda, Sarah, and Rebecca, her great-grandchildren, Collin, Alina, Amelia, Madeleine, Francesca, Samuel, Natalie, and Zoey, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend Mrs. Zola’s memorial mass at 11 AM on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church.

Friends may gather from 9:30 to 10:30 on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel.

Lillian’s committal will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lillian’s name to Morrisville Senior Center and Morrisville Public Library.
