Julia M. McClernon

March 3, 1929 — February 23, 2026

Yardley, PA

Julia M. McClernon, a truly remarkable individual whose kindness and giving spirit touched the hearts of many, peacefully departed this world on February 23, 2026, at Yardley Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Yardley, Pennsylvania.

Julia was born in Freehold, New Jersey, to the late Julia and Edward Mahon. She led a beautiful life dedicated to service and love. She held the position of trilingual secretary to her future father-in-law. She later married the love of her life, Joseph R. McClernon, II. Julia had an unwavering devotion to her faith, attending daily mass at St. John The Evangelist Church and actively participated in numerous prayer groups in town. Her proudest accomplishment was being a Carmelite, a role through which she cherished her relationship with God and served others with boundless grace. Her gentle and loving nature left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. Julia found joy in helping others, always going the extra mile to lend a hand where she could. Many fondly remember how her warm smile would light up a room, defining her as one of the nicest people anyone could ever meet. Julia’s talents extended into her hobbies; she was an accomplished seamstress who could create anything from elegant dresses to snappy suites, to beautiful drapes, leaving behind cherished pieces made with love. She was also an accomplished pianist. She embraced life with a fervent passion, and her lovely spirit will forever be remembered.

Julia is reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Joe, brothers, Joe and John Mahon, and her cherished sons, John and Brian. She is survived by her children, Joseph McClernon III and his wife June, and Jean Capizzi, daughter-in-law Mary ( wife to John), her grandchildren, Gina and her husband, Dan, Joe and his wife, Courtney, Kevin, Christopher, Clare and her husband, Garrett, Catherine, Stephen, David and his wife, Kyla, Christina and her husband, Ryan, and Julia; and her great-grandchildren, Julia, Danny, Maximus, Maeve, Brynn, Morgan, Isabella, Elizabeth, Wyatt, Barrett and Naomi; along with all of her extended family and all her friends she has made throughout her 96 years.

A celebration of Julia's life will be held on Monday March 16, 2026, at 11 a.m. in the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 201 North Pennsylvania Avenue, Morrisville, PA 19067. Family and friends are welcome to gather in the church starting at 10:30 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia privately.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Julia's memory to Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

As we bid farewell to a beloved matriarch and friend, we remember Julia M. McClernon not only for her remarkable achievements but for the love, warmth, and generosity she poured into the lives of everyone around her. May her soul rest in peace as she walks with God, leaving behind a tapestry of love and grace that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known her.

Arrangements are under the direction of the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel Morrisville, PA.
