Joseph Mr. E. Herron

Joseph Edward Herron, age 88, of Langhorne, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at the VA Medical Center in Coatesville, PA, a facility that provided him with excellent care and compassion. He was born in Philadelphia on Dec. 7, 1928. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Herron was employed as a postal worker with the U.S. Postal Service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army Special Forces, serving during WWII and the Vietnam Wars. Joe was a member of the D.A.V, the American Legion, and the V.F.W. Son of the late Thomas E. and Fridarica (Miller) Herron and husband of the late Bernice R. (Phillips) Herron, he is survived by his children Constance and Gary (deceased) Fowler of TN, Thomas and Linda Herron of Doylestown, PA, Helen and Joseph Garcia of Bethlehem, PA, and Joseph and Mary Herron of Ohio, his grandchildren Jeffry and wife Christine, David and wife Laura, Todd, John, Michelle, Amanda, Alice, Gary, Nancy and husband David, Delphia, Lori and husband Gilbert(deceased) and 16 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends may call Monday evening Feb. 13, 2017, from 7-9 PM , and on Tuesday Feb.14, 2017, from 10-11 AM at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA. (www.hooperfuneralchapel.com). His funeral service will be held at 11 AM, with The Rev. John Eckert, Pastor of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Beverly National Cemetery, Beverly, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Herron's name may be sent to Coatesville Medical Center, 138B Recreation Fund, 1400 Black Horse Hill Rd., Coatesville, PA 19320.
