Joseph R. Gadaleto, born on May 28, 1934, in Bronxville, NY, passed away at his home in Morrisville, Pennsylvania on July 4, 2026, following a lengthy illness. He was 92 years old.
Mr. Gadaleto was a dedicated member of the Morrisville community for many years. He found both fulfillment and camaraderie in his involvement with the Knights of Columbus, Father Joseph Gallagher Council #3673, at Holy Trinity Church in Morrisville. This commitment underscored his lifelong values of faith, service, and responsibility.
Joseph was an electrician by trade, and was employed by U.S. Steel Fairless Works for over 39 years. He was proud to have served as a member of the U.S. Naval Reserve.
Known for his appreciation of the outdoors, Joseph cherished time spent relaxing at his cabin in the Poconos—treasured moments that reflected his love of family and nature. He was also known for his skill and curiosity with anything mechanical, finding satisfaction in rebuilding small engines and manufacturing with various projects. His resourceful nature and hands-on approach were hallmarks of his character. He was the quintessential “Jack of all trades”.
Joseph was the beloved husband of the late Eleanor "Ellie" Hebert Gadaleto. He was preceded in death as well by his father, Nicholo Gadaleto, and mother, Rose Spadavecchia Gadaleto. Joseph is survived by his daughter Mary C., and his two sons, Joseph J. and Michael J. Gadaleto.
A memorial gathering will be held for Mr. Gadaleto at J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067, on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Friends may gather at the funeral home before proceeding to the cemetery for the committal. There will be no services at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery, North River Road, Yardley, PA, with a committal service beginning at 12:15 PM. All who knew Mr. Gadaleto are invited to attend and honor his memory.
Those who had the pleasure of knowing Joseph R. Gadaleto will remember a life marked by diligence, loyalty, and enduring love for his family and community. Whenever anyone was in need of help, Joseph was always willing to lend a hand.
