John L. Reenan Jr.

John L. Reenan, Jr., age 71, of Fairless Hills, PA, passed away on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013 at Genesis Health in Somerton, PA. Born in Cincinnati, OH, he had lived in Fairless Hills for the past 48 years. Prior to his retirement, John was employed as a truck driver with Reber Transportation in Morrisville for 10 years. He had also worked as a fork lift driver for 17 years at Okonite Wire & Cable in North Brunswick, NJ. Mr. Reenan was a member of IBEW#1992 Electrical Union, an avid bowler, and a NASCAR fan. John was a proud Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War. Son of the late John Sr. and Mildred (Burke) Reenan, he is survived by his loving wife Laverne (Snyder) Reenan, 4 children Dawn Reenan Byer of Cape May County, NJ, Ron Reenan and his fiancée Susan Angove of Levittown, Lori and husband Brian Decker of Morrisville, and Kelly Reenan of Fairless Hills, granddaughter Missy Byer raised as their own daughter, 2 brothers Danny Michael Reenan of Cincinnati and Richard Reenan of Chicago, and 2 half sisters, Ruth Ellen Reenan and Rosemary Reenan, both of Cincinnati, 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 11:45 AM on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA. The Rev. Megan Sutker will officiate. Interment will be at 1 PM Wednesday at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 7-9 PM at the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Reenan's name may be made to St. Jude's Hospital for Children, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105, or to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
