Morrisville, PA

John "Jack" Henry Dorin, Jr., a man whose life was marked by pioneering spirit, dedication, and an enduring love for adventure, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026, in Hamilton, New Jersey. Born on December 24, 1938, in Long Branch, New Jersey, Jack's journey through life was as rich and varied as the landscapes he so dearly cherished.

Jack carved a remarkable path in his professional life, dedicating four decades to his role as a stockbroker at Kenneth Jerome and Company, Inc., in Florham Park, NJ. His tenure there was a testament to his steadfast commitment and sharp acumen, qualities that earned him respect and admiration in the financial community. Yet, his roots remained deeply entwined with the small towns of New Jersey, having resided in Allentown before making Morrisville his home for the past 40 years.

Beyond the world of stocks and bonds, Jack’s passions painted a vivid picture of a man who embraced life’s joys with enthusiasm and skill. An avid hunter and trapper, he exhibited a resourcefulness that saw him selling animal furs to finance his dreams of owning bikes and sports cars—a blend of rugged determination and youthful zest. His adventurous spirit soared quite literally as he was also a licensed airplane pilot, a pursuit that mirrored his love of freedom and exploration. Additionally, his affinity for the outdoors found expression in skiing and sailing; pursuits that connected him deeply to nature and the camaraderie of outdoor communities.

Jack was a trailblazer in many senses. He proudly held the distinction of being the first Black Boy Scout in Allentown, NJ, a groundbreaking achievement that heralded his lifelong commitment to breaking barriers. His pioneering nature extended to his social affiliations as well; he was the first Black member of the Island Heights Yacht Club in Island Heights, New Jersey, and an esteemed member of the Princeton Ski Club. His involvement with the Vahlsing Produce Farm in Allentown further underscored his integral role in his community’s fabric.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Victoria Calabro Clark, who stood by him through the vast adventures and quiet moments alike. Their family, a source of immense pride and joy, includes daughters Sunday Clark and her husband James Stark, Summer Clark and her husband Scott Kade, and Ilana and Jerome Priest. Jack was also a cherished grandfather to Bennett Stark, Eli Dale, Curt Priest, and Mason Priest, as well as a great-grandfather to Jeremiah Dale and May Priest, whose lives he touched with kindness and wisdom.

Jack’s life was also marked by profound loss. He is predeceased by his daughter Gabrielle Dale, and by his parents, John Henry Dorin and Ada Vincent Dorin, whose legacy he carried forward with honor and grace.

In remembering Jack, one recalls not merely the milestones he achieved but the vibrant spirit with which he lived each day. His story is one of breaking boundaries, embracing challenges, and fostering bonds—qualities that continue to inspire all who knew him. As we bid farewell, we hold close the memory of a man who soared across skies and seas yet remained profoundly grounded in the love of family and the beauty of life’s simple pleasures.
