Jasper E. Parrella Sr.

June 11, 1931 — October 6, 2017

Jasper E. Parrella, Sr., age 86, of Morrisville, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 6, 2017 at Spring Village at Floral Vale in Yardley, PA. Born in New Haven, CT, Jasper lived in Levittown, PA before moving to Morrisville 50 years ago.An insurance agent and financial advisor with New York Life for 65 years, Jasper earned the designations of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (CHFC) as well as earning lifetime member status of the Million Dollar Round Table. Jasper was an active member and Past President of the Carteret Club in Trenton, where he held other offices as well. A proud Army Veteran, he served active duty in Korea and was a member of the Army Reserves. He enjoyed singing, was an accomplished tenor, and a member of vocal groups such as the Wayfarers Quartet and the Vagabonds in his youth. A man of faith he and his family attended the First Presbyterian Church of Trenton, where he was a member of the choir as first tenor. Jasper also served as Chairman of the Nassau Club in Princeton, NJ. In addition to music, he enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time with his family.Son of the late Gioacchino Erasmus and Angelina (Fera) Parrella, and brother of the late Luigi, Paul, and Joachim Parrella, he is survived by his loving wife Constance Anne (Soriero) Parrella of Morrisville, five children Marianne P. ( & Joseph) Hatrak of Hamilton, NJ, Jasper E., Jr. ( & Lisa) Parrella of Wayside, NJ, Julie V. ( & Bob, Jr.) Sill of Newtown, PA, Douglas F. Parrella of Sicklerville, NJ, and Beth Ann ( & Brad) Crozier of Winthrop, MA, two sisters Aurora D. Parrella of W. Trenton, NJ and Gilda C. Parrella of Chicago, IL, ten grandchildren Jennifer Hatrak, Laura ( & PJ) Rebovich, Katie ( & Joe) Palamara, Korin Parrella, Bobby, Miranda and Luke Sill, Joscelyn A. Parrella, and Kyle and Madison Crozier, a great grandson Hunter Rebovich, one great grandchild on the way, and many nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 11 AM on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017 at the Morrisville Presbyterian Church, 771 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA. The Rev. Rachel Rhodes, Pastor, will officiate. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA (www.hooperfuneralchapel.com), as well as Thursday morning from 10-11 AM in the church lounge.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Jasper E.
