James "Duke" S. Keegan

November 18, 1946 — January 7, 2019

James S. “Duke” Keegan, age 72, of Morrisville, PA, died on Monday evening, January 7, 2019 at St. Mary Medical Center, Middletown Township, PA, with his loved one’s by his side.

A lifelong area resident, Jim was known as “Duke” to his friends.  He was a 1965 graduate of Morrisville High School and a member of the first graduating class of Bucks County Community College.  Duke served in the U.S. Army’s 1st Air Cavalry and was in Vietnam from May of 1968 until July of 1969.  Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a Chemical technician with Stauffer Chemical and Rhodia, Inc.  An encyclopedia of all things sports, he was a loyal supporter of all the Philadelphia teams, especially the Phillies and Eagles.  He enjoyed old movies and was a wiz at crossword puzzles.  Duke had a kind and easy going personality, never complained in adversity, and never had an unkind word for anyone.  He will be greatly missed by his family.

Son of the late James and Marie (Wait) Keegan, and brother of the late Kathleen Keegan, he is survived by his son James M. Keegan of Levittown, his sister and brother-in-law Madeline and Robert Marozsan, and nephew Steve Marozsan, all of Hamilton Twp., and a number of cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA.  Monsignor John Eckert, Pastor of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, will officiate.  His interment with military honors will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.

Friends may call Tuesday morning from 10:30 – 11:30 AM at the funeral chapel.
